Anthony M. Campisano, Esq.

Anthony M. Campisano graduated from North Brunswick Township High School in 1976 and from Rutgers College in 1980. He received his law degree from Seton Hall School of Law in 1983, graduating Cum Laude. While at Seton Hall, he was a student director of the Juvenile Justice Clinic, where he represented minors charged with serious criminal offenses at detention and probable cause hearings. Mr. Campisano was admitted to practice in New Jersey State and Federal Courts in 1983. After completing a one-year judicial clerkship in Middlesex County, he entered private practice in 1984. In 1987 the Middlesex County Bar Association and Middlesex County Legal Services Foundation recognized him for providing pro bono volunteer legal representation to indigent persons. He was elected President of the New Brunswick Bar Association in 1993.

Mr. Campisano was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1995. He is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. This certification is granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who are able to successfully pass a written test and demonstrate that they have high levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trial practice. Less than 2% of the attorneys in New Jersey are awarded this Civil Trial Certification.

Mr. Campisano has served as a condemnation commissioner in Middlesex County since 1985 and he has been an arbitrator in the Middlesex County Automobile and Personal Injury Program since 1989. He has also served as an Assistant Municipal Prosecutor in East Windsor Township.

In 2007, he was named a Super Lawyer by N.J. Monthly Magazine in the area of plaintiff personal injury representation. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an association whose membership is limited to attorneys who have achieved an award of $1 million dollars or more by verdict or settlement.

Mr. Campisano has served on the Middlesex County District Ethics Committee and is a member of the American, New Jersey State and Middlesex County Bar Associations. He has been the Assistant Township Attorney for South Brunswick Township since 2000 and in that capacity has handled a variety of matters, including representing the Township in general litigation, planning and zoning litigation, condemnation and property acquisition actions and in administrative proceedings. He is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, an organization committed to protecting the rights of consumers and accident victims and he has lectured on the topics of civil trial preparation and arbitration.

He has been involved in many community activities and organizations and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the South Brunswick Family YMCA since 1997. Mr. Campisano recently completed a five year term as President of the Board and was honored for his years of service by being awarded the YMCA Community Volunteer of the Year Award. He resides in South Brunswick Township with his wife and two daughters.
